The Highway regulatory authority Wednesday said Leh-Srinagar Highway shall be closed for traffic from December 20 due to heavy snowfall around Zojila Pass.
During winter the 434-kilometre highway connecting Ladakh region with Kashmir valley remains closed for four months.
The highway after facing a possible closure on Sunday will be opened in April 2016.
