SRINAGAR: A leopard was seen running in uptown Nawgam and Bagh-e-Mehtab belt during Tuesday morning hours. It was actually captured moving by various CCTVs in the area and some residents also caught it on their cell phones.
Most of the footage was posted by people on social media platforms including Facebook. People have been suggesting that the residents must stay alert especially in case of children.
While it is understood that the people will have involved the wildlife authorities but there is no input of any success. Some wildlife department officials who spent most of the day in the locality said the animal fled many times even after being hit by the dart gun. They said the operation was halted during the night and people must take precautions.
