SRINAGAR: A militant associate was killed, and two cops were injured in an ongoing gunfight in the Kulnar area of Ajas, in North Kashmir’s Bandipora district on Friday.
Official said that during the gunfight, one militant associate was killed, and two cops also received bullet wounds.
The injured policemen were immediately shifted to a nearby hospital for treatment, where their condition is said to be stable.
The killed militant associate has been identified as Altaf Lalli, a member of the Lashkar-e-Taiba outfit.
Meanwhile, the operation in the area is still underway.
Earlier, a gunfight broke out between terrorists and security forces in the Ajas area after a specific input was received. (GNS)
