SRINAGAR: Two houses linked to Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) militants allegedly involved in the Pahalgam attack were destroyed in separate blasts in Jammu and Kashmir, officials said on Friday.
The first incident took place on Thursday night during a search operation in Anantnag district.
As per media reports, security forces were conducting a search at the residence of Adil Hussain Thokar when explosives already kept inside the house went off, leading to its destruction. Thokar is one of the key accused in the Pahalgam massacre that occurred on Tuesday.
In a separate incident on Friday in Moghama village of Tral, a blast damaged the house of Asif Sheikh, another LeT terrorist suspected to be involved in planning the attack. During the search, suspicious objects were noticed and wires were seen protruding from a box. Security forces retracted, and an Indian Army Engineers team later confirmed the presence of explosive material. The material was destroyed in-situ, resulting in a blast that partially damaged the house.
Officials confirmed that there was no loss of life, as the area had been cleared and nearby houses evacuated.
