SRINAGAR: The Kashmir Power Distribution Corporation Limited (KPDCL) has announced scheduled power shutdowns across several areas of Kashmir on September 12, 13 and 14 for maintenance and other works.
According to the KPDCL, power supply to Anchidora, Chee, Prakashpora, Nambal, Akhura and adjoining areas will remain affected from 8 am to 2 pm on September 12 due to the shutdown of the 33 kV Sarnal-Akhura Tapline.
On September 13, power supply to Shopian town, Gagren, Memandhar and adjoining areas will be affected from 9 am to 3 pm due to the shutdown of the 33 kV Batapora-Gagren Tapline.
The shutdown of the 33 kV Lassipora-Reshipora, Lassipora-Keegam and Lassipora-Buildtech (Pulwama B) lines will affect power supply to Zainapora, Chitragam, Awneera, Reban, Aglar, Suggan, Turkawangam, Nagbal, Pakherpora, Hawal, Rajpora, Rahmoo, Keegam, Gulshanabad, Akhal, Chararipora, Hotline, Tenghar, Koil, Tengpuna, Pinglena, Gundipora, Gangoo, Arihal, Achan, Oudoora, Ahgam, Lassipora and adjoining areas from 8 am to 2 pm on September 13 and 20.
On September 14, the shutdown of the 33 kV Airforce line will affect power supply to Peerbagh, Cooperative Colony, Jeelanabad, Hyderpora, Nadru, PHQ, Airport, Sheikhpora, Friends Colony, Humhama Heights, Tawheed Bagh and adjoining areas from 9 am to 1 pm.
Power supply to Fethapora, Gadoora, Tulbagh, Shairpathri, Kachan and adjoining areas will also remain affected from 10 am to noon on September 14 due to the shutdown of the 33 kV Alasteng-Nagbal line (Gadoora Tapline).
KPDCL has advised consumers in the affected areas to make necessary arrangements in view of the scheduled shutdowns.
