Police have claimed to arrest a Let operative in Sopore. In a statement on Sunday, police said that  Mudasir Ahmad Dar, a LeT operative who was managing finances for the militant outfit in and around Sopore was arrested.

Mudasir Ahmad Dar son of Mohammad Ayub Dar resident of Naseem Bagh,  Sopore was arrested by Sopore Police for his alleged involvement in subversive activities. According to a police statement Mudassir had been working for the banned militant organisation LeT since long and has been using code name Muviya.

Police added that Mudassir was arrested following a disclosure by Pakistani terrorist Hafiz Naveed @ Fahadullah who was recently arrested by Police.

According toa police statement the arrested militant disclosed that, Mudasir has been managing finances of the outfit in and around Sopore besides, providing logistic support to the militants of the outfit. Mudasir has also been distributing money to the dependants of the killed militants in Sopore, police said.

A case FIR No: 51/2013 under section 13, 17, 18 UAP Act has been registered in Police Station Tarzoo in this regard.

The statement said that during the personal search of Mudasir at the time of his arrest, a note of One Million Dollar along with two tokens and one authentication certificate was recovered from him.

Police statement concluded that the note along with tokens is used as a novelty item having no financial obligation on part of its issuing authority. The current market value of the note is Rs 4500 ($75) only.
