SRINAGAR: A militant was killed in an overnight operation in Chrar-i-Sharief area of the central Kashmir’s Budgam district, an official said on Sunday.
An official said that one militant affiliated with LeT has been killed in an overnight gunfight at Chrar-i-Sharief area.

Incriminating material, including an AK 56 rifle, was recovered from the encounter site, he said.
He added that the gunfight broke out in Chrar-i-Sharief area of Budgam district on Saturday late night following a search operation.
Earlier, a police spokesman said a gunfight broke out between militants and forces in n Chrar-i-Sharief area of Budgam district.
