A Lashkar e Toiba militant was on Wednesday morning arrested in Qazigund area of Islamabad district, Police claimed. Arms were also recovered from him.
Identified as Shamsul Viqar, he was arrested along with a rifle in Wangam area of Qazigund near railway station, police officials said.
Reports quoting sources said that Vikar had sustained a bullet injury during a gunfight in Kund on Tuesday in which a Hizb militant Muzamil Manzoor and an army man were killed.
They said he was arrested in an injured condition by armed police in civvies near railway station.
Viqar, a resident of Laram Ganjipora village of Islamabad district, had joined Lashkar-e-Toiba in March this year. Before joining militancy, he was a student of Delhi Public School (DPS) Sangam.
