Police on Wednesday that LeT militants were identified as the killers of Peoples Democratic Party district president Abdul Gani Dar, who was killed on April 24.
SP Pulwma said in a statement that, “During the course of investigation it has been found that active Lashkar e Toiba terrorists, Majid Mir @ Abbas of Kakapora and Ashraf Dar of Bagh e Trich, Pulwama assisted by one OGW namely Shakir Gogjoo @Shakir Pujj of Kakapora, were involved in the killing.”
“A white colour Tavera bearing registration No JK13C- 0702 was used for the commission of the crime. The vehicle has been seized and the owner of the said vehicle, Aslam Malik, has been arrested,” the officer said.
The statement added that another person has also been arrested in this connection.
“One Bashir Ahmad had provided the information to terrorists regarding the movement and details of vehicle used by the deceased. He has also been arrested,” the statement said.
Police said that hunt for the militant is going on adding that reward has been also set on their head.
