SRINAGAR: Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir, Manoj Sinha, on Monday launched the Paediatric Education Network portal, an online platform curated by paediatrician and academician Dr Suraj Gupte.

The portal—accessible free of charge—aims to enhance paediatric healthcare education by offering a centralised hub of medical resources for students, professionals, and institutions. Designed to bridge academic and geographical gaps, the website features lectures, clinical guidelines, case studies, interactive learning modules, and expert commentaries.
Congratulating Dr Gupte and the team behind the initiative, LG Sinha said the platform represents a significant step forward in democratising access to reliable and up-to-date paediatric knowledge. “It will empower practitioners and institutions, not just in India but globally,” he noted.
The launch event, held at Raj Bhawan, witnessed the presence of senior healthcare professionals, former professors, paediatricians, and members of the Paediatric Education Network Foundation. Notable attendees included Dr Sanjeev K Digra, Dr Ashok Gupta, Dr Ghanshyam Saini, Dr Sunil Dutt Sharma, Dr Kewal Samnotra, and Dr Gotam Goel.
Other prominent citizens and Foundation members present were Shri Rakesh Gupta, former President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry Jammu; Subhash Gupte, Shamma Bakshi, Rajendra Gupte, and Robin Bakshi.
