SRINAGAR: Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Wednesday chaired a meeting of the Jammu and Kashmir Higher Education Council at Lok Bhavan in Jammu to discuss measures for improving the quality of higher education, promoting research and innovation, and preparing academic institutions for emerging challenges.
The meeting reviewed ways to strengthen the higher education ecosystem and align educational institutions with changing academic requirements, industry needs and emerging opportunities.
Emphasising the need for a future-ready education system, Sinha said institutions must focus on nurturing talent, promoting critical thinking and equipping students with skills suited to the evolving global landscape.
