SRINAGAR: Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha and Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Wednesday expressed deep grief over the loss of lives in a devastating hotel fire incident in Delhi’s Malviya Nagar area.
The fire broke out in a congested lane in south Delhi, killing at least 21 people, including foreign nationals whose relatives were undergoing treatment in nearby hospitals, officials said.
Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha described the incident as deeply distressing and extended condolences to the bereaved families. In a post on X, he prayed for the speedy recovery of those injured.
Chief Minister Omar Abdullah also conveyed his condolences, expressing profound sorrow over the tragedy. His office said on X that he had prayed for the swift recovery of the injured and stood in solidarity with all those affected by the incident.
