SRINAGAR: Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Thursday extended birthday greetings to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and announced a month-long ‘Seva Sankalp Abhiyan’ across Jammu and Kashmir to mark 25 years of the Prime Minister’s public service.
The campaign will run from 17 September to 17 October, Sinha said, with 12 service-oriented programmes planned across the Union Territory.
In his message, the Lieutenant Governor praised Modi’s leadership and wished him a long and healthy life.
“Heartfelt birthday greetings to our Hon’ble Prime Minister, Shri @narendramodi Ji. Your visionary leadership in shaping a self-reliant, developed and progressive New India continues to inspire all of us,” Sinha said.
He said the campaign would include ‘Seva Diwas’, cleanliness drives, blood donation camps, medical camps, the ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’ initiative, assistance to Divyangjan and programmes for youth.
Sinha also appealed to citizens to participate in the programmes and contribute to community service.
The ‘Seva Sankalp Abhiyan’ will be held across J&K during the month-long period, according to the Lieutenant Governor.
