SRINAGAR: Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Monday visited the historic Gada Dari Temple within the Mubarak Mandi Heritage Complex in Jammu to assess the damage caused to the centuries-old shrine.
During the visit, the Lieutenant Governor reviewed the extent of the damage and directed officials to initiate immediate restoration and conservation measures. He stressed the importance of preserving the region’s rich cultural and religious heritage and called for the restoration work to be completed in a time-bound manner while retaining the temple’s original architectural features.
Officials briefed him on the circumstances surrounding the damage and the proposed restoration strategy. Sinha instructed the administration and executing agencies to expedite conservation efforts and take all necessary steps to prevent further deterioration of the heritage structure.
The Gada Dari Temple, located within the historic Mubarak Mandi complex, is considered a site of considerable religious and historical significance and forms an important part of Jammu’s cultural heritage.
