The review comes as the annual pilgrimage completed 15 days, during which more than 3.50 lakh pilgrims have paid obeisance at the holy Amarnath cave shrine.

According to the Lieutenant Governor, the pilgrimage has been progressing smoothly with the blessings of Lord Shiva, while witnessing enthusiastic participation from devotees arriving from across the country.

During the review meeting, Sinha assessed the arrangements for essential services, including drinking water, electricity, telecom connectivity, accommodation and food, and directed all concerned departments to function in mission mode to ensure the safety, comfort and welfare of the pilgrims.

The Lieutenant Governor also appreciated the support being extended by local residents and service providers, saying their active participation was contributing significantly to the smooth conduct of the annual pilgrimage.

The 57-day Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra is being conducted under multi-layer security and extensive logistical arrangements, with the administration continuously monitoring facilities at the twin base camps and along both pilgrimage routes.
