SRINAGAR: Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Saturday lauded the Armed Forces Medical Services for conducting an eye surgery camp at Tangdhar in Karnah under Operation Drishti, where 220 people underwent surgery.
In a post on X, Sinha said the procedures were performed at an underground operation theatre in the border area.
The medical team, led by Brigadier Sanjay Kumar Mishra, provided advanced eye-care services, including phacoemulsification, retinal and glaucoma procedures, during the camp.
Sinha said the initiative reflected the spirit of Operation Sadbhavana by taking specialised medical services to remote border areas.
