SRINAGAR: The Jammu and Kashmir Government has constituted a panel of specialist and super-specialist doctors to provide expert opinions on complex and high-value cases under the AB PM-JAY SEHAT schemes.
The panel comprises the Heads of Departments of SKIMS, Soura, Srinagar, Government Medical College Jammu and Government Medical College Srinagar, according to Government Order No. 708-JK(HME) of 2026 issued on September 23.
The panel will cover all specialties and super-specialties, including Cardiology, Cardiothoracic and Vascular Surgery (CTVS), Oncology, Neurology, Neurosurgery, Urology and Orthopaedics.
The State Health Agency, J&K, can refer complex and high-value cases to the panel for expert opinion in matters concerning claim adjudication, medical audits and anti-fraud investigations.
Under the order, the Head of Department to whom a case is referred will be required to submit an expert opinion or recommendation within the stipulated timeframe and in accordance with the applicable scheme guidelines, Standard Treatment Guidelines and other instructions governing AB PM-JAY and AB PM-JAY SEHAT.
The panel was approved following a decision taken at the 13th Governing Council meeting of the State Health Agency held on July 7, 2026.
