SRINAGAR: Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Monday chaired a meeting of the Unified Command in Srinagar to review the security arrangements for the annual Amarnath Yatra and the prevailing situation in the Union Territory.
The meeting was attended by the Chief Secretary and senior officials from the Army, Police, and other security agencies.
The meeting reviewed the overall security situation and preparations for the upcoming Amarnath Yatra, which is scheduled to begin on July 3.
“The meeting also focused on the fallout of the Pahalgam terror attack and the developments following ‘Operation Sindoor’ in Jammu and Kashmir,” the sources added.
They said the LG directed the Army, Police, and paramilitary forces to completely dismantle the terror ecosystem in the Union Territory. (KNO)
