SRINAGAR: At least 60 people were killed in overnight Israeli airstrikes across the Gaza Strip, Palestinian health officials said Tuesday.
Strikes hit multiple areas, including a family home and a shelter in northern Gaza, killing 22 people—more than half of them women and children. In central Gaza, 13 people were killed in Deir al-Balah and 15 in Nuseirat refugee camp. Ten more died in Khan Younis, in the south.

The Israeli military did not comment but maintains that it targets militants and blames Hamas for civilian casualties due to its operations in populated areas.
Israel has resumed a major offensive in Gaza, aiming to free remaining hostages and dismantle Hamas. The conflict began on October 7, when Hamas-led militants killed about 1,200 people in Israel and abducted 251. Israel’s response has killed over 53,000 Palestinians, according to Gaza’s Health Ministry.
On Monday, Israel allowed a small number of aid trucks into Gaza for the first time in over two months. UN agencies said the volume was insufficient compared to the 600 trucks per day that entered during a ceasefire earlier this year.
The war has displaced nearly 90% of Gaza’s population.
