SRINAGAR: Lt Governor, Manoj Sinha on Saturday visited the family of slain SPO, Mudasir Ahmad, and condoled the killing. Senior officers of the district accompanied him.
“Met the family members of brave JKP Martyr Mudasir Ahmad at their residence in Uri and paid tributes to him,” Sinha wrote on his official Twitter handle. “The nation is blessed to have such sons of the soil like Mudasir. The supreme sacrifice of the Braveheart will be eternally remembered.”
Mudasir was killed in an encounter in Najibhat Kreeri Baramulla on May 25. Three Pakistani Jaish e Mohammad militants were also killed in the encounter. He was the son of retired sub-inspector Maqsood Ahmad Shiekh. Senior police and civil administration officers attended his funeral in Uri.
