The Salamabad-Chakoti LoC traders association was dissolved on Saturday and a new body was formed.
Javid Ahmad Makroo was elected as president of the new body while Nazir Ahmad Lone was elected as vice president. Tajamula Masoodi was elected as general secretary.
Talking to a local news agency, KNS Nazir Lone said that after the new body was formed the members discussed various issues pertaining to the LoC traders community. “The new members demanded that the LoC trade should be made easier and banking and communication facilities should be provided to the traders on both sides of the LoC. The present barter system is not helping the traders,” he said.
