A protest demonstration was held on Sunday in central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district against the unavailability of ambulance driver at the local hospital in Lar village of district Ganderba.

Reports said people took to the streets shouting anti-administration and anti-governmental slogans against the failure of the department for unavailability of the ambulance driver.

The angry protestors also blocked the Manigam highway in the district, after they found out that an ambulance driver was not on duty at a local hospital at Lar village of the district, hampered the traffic movement for hours.

Earlier, a man was injured during an accident and was later taken to local hospital, where doctors referred him to specialized treatment. The unavailability of the ambulance driver forced the residents to hold a protest against the hospital authorities.
