Srinagar

Authorities on Sunday restored the 2g internet services in all four districts of south Kashmir after remaining suspended for almost eighteen hours.

Reports said that the services were suspended around 8:00 pm yesterday in all the four districts. Some reports suggest that the services were suspended ahead of the upcoming civic polls in the Valley. But the exact reason for shutting down the internet in South Kashmir was not known immediately.

The internet services in Shopian and Pulwama district was blocked on Septemeber 22, in the wake of resignation videos of Special Police Officers (SPOs) surfacing on Facebook. The services were restored a few days back but were blocked again last night.
