National Conference President Dr Farooq Abdullah and his son Omar Abdullah cast their vote in a polling station situated in Burn Hall School.
Farooq is the candidate for Srinagar Lok Sabha seat.
25278 votes were polled in Srinagar district till 11 am, Thursday in Srinagar Lok Sabha seat.
The polling percentage at 11 am for Srinagar Parliamentary constituency bound areas stood at 6.1% with Ganderbal registering the highest turnout of 6.5% followed by Budgam at 6.4% and Srinagar registered 2.3%.
The Srinagar Parliamentary constituency is spread over 15 Assembly segments comprising three districts of Central Kashmir-Ganderbal, Srinagar and Budgam with 1,295,304 registered voters including 1,294,560 General voters and 744 service voters.
The authorities have set up 1716 polling stations across the Parliamentary constituency to facilitate the polling.
Meanwhile, a complete shutdown is being observed in polling bound areas of the valley.
