SRINAGAR: Indian Army’s Northern Commander Lieutenant General Pratik Sharma on Friday reviewed the operational preparedness of troops deployed in the challenging high-altitude areas of Ladakh, Northern Command said.

Lt Gen Sharma visited forward areas of the Union Territory and interacted with troops and officers deployed on the ground, according to a post by Northern Command on X.
The Army Commander commended the personnel for their professionalism, high morale, vigilance and commitment to duty while operating in demanding weather and difficult terrain.
Lt Gen Sharma also stressed the importance of discipline, physical fitness and regular training, along with innovation, greater synergy and enhanced technological capabilities, to ensure troops remain mission-ready across domains.
He emphasised the need for continuous improvement and operational excellence in meeting challenges in the high-altitude environment.
