SRINAGAR: A tourist from Maharashtra died in a hotel room in Hyderpora, Srinagar, on Wednesday.
An official said the deceased was identified as Rajesh Ramchandar Mahindrakar, son of Ramchandar Mahindrakar. He was initially referred from JVC Hospital, Bemina, to SKIMS Soura.
The tourist was found unconscious in his hotel room at Hyderpora and was shifted to JVC Bemina, from where he was referred to SKIMS Soura for advanced treatment. However, the attending medical team at SKIMS declared him brought dead.
Police have taken cognisance of the incident, and further investigation into the circumstances surrounding the death is underway. (KNC)
