SRINAGAR: Police announced on Friday evening that they have arrested a fraudster who deceived students by promising them MBBS admissions in Iran.
In a series of tweets, the Srinagar police shared on their social media handle, “A fraudster, Syed Abbas Shah, son of Syed Yousuf Shah, resident of Wahabpora, Budgam, was operating an educational consultancy called ‘Dr. Minds’ in Parraypora. A case has been registered against him under FIR no. 65/2023 under sections 468 and 420 of the IPC at Sadder Police Station.”

“The students discovered the cheating and forgery after arriving in Tehran and spending several months there without any admission, despite having paid lakhs of rupees to this fraudster. The public is urged not to become victims of such fraudsters operating consultancy services and deceiving students, job aspirants, etc.,” the tweets further stated.
