Srinagar December, 14: A man committed suicide by consuming some poisonous substance at his home in Islamabad, Police said.
A man (name with held) resident of Dooru, Islamabad consumed some poisonous substance at his home. He was shifted to Sub District Hospital Dooru for treatment, where from he was referred to SMHS Hospital, Srinagar for further treatment where he breathed his last. The body of the deceased was handed over to his legal heirs for last rites after completion of all legal formalities. Islamabad police has registered a case in this regard.
Meanwhile, 4 structures were damaged in three separate fire incidents in the valley.
Fire broke out in a residential house of Abdul Ahad Baba resident of Aripora, Darazpora in the jurisdiction of Police Station Zainapora Shopian, resulting in damage to the structure. Fire was brought under control by fire tenders.
In another incident, fire broke in two shops belonging to Mehraj-ud-Din Shah resident of Pinglana at Pinglana in the jurisdiction of Police Station Pulwama, resulting in damage to both the shops. Fire was brought under control by fire tenders.
Meanwhile, fire broke out in a residential house of Nazir Ahmad Sheergojri resident of Walkul in the jurisdiction of Police Station Sogam Kupwara, resulting in damage to the house. Fire was brought under control by fire.
However, no loss of life or injury was reported in these fire incidents.
