Police have detained a person from Handwara area in north Kashmir’s Kupwara district.
Official sources told GNS that acting on a tip off, Special Operation Group (SOG) of police Baramulla raided Kargam village in Handwara and apprehended a person identified as Fayaz Ahmad Pir son of Mohammad Yusuf Pir of Nowgam Handwara.
The reason behind the arrest of Pir was not immediately known, however, sources admitted that he was arrested on suspected grounds.
The detained person is under questioning, they added.
