SRINAGAR: A 55-year-old man died after being hit by a JCB machine while working at a crusher in Chhatral Dhaki area of Mendhar in Poonch district on Wednesday.
Quoting an official, the news agency KNO reported that the man was working at the crusher when he was accidentally struck by the JCB, leaving him critically injured.
He was immediately shifted to Sub-District Hospital (SDH) Mendhar, where doctors declared him brought dead.
The deceased was identified as Tasadq Hussain, 55, a resident of Chhatral.
Police have taken cognizance of the incident and initiated further proceedings.
