SRINAGAR: A man died after falling under a moving truck in the Chankhan area of Sopore in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Sunday, officials said.
Quoting an official, the news agency KNO reported that the man fell from the moving truck and came under its wheels, sustaining critical injuries.
He was rushed to a nearby hospital, where doctors declared him dead on arrival, the official said.
The deceased was identified as Ghulam Nabi Ganie, son of Mohammad Ramzan Ganie, a resident of Untoo Hamam, Sopore.
Police have taken up an investigation to ascertain the exact circumstances leading to the incident, officials said.
