A man ended his life by consuming some poisonous substance in Beerwah area of Budgam District, last evening while two persons died in road accidents in valley, police said Sunday afternoon
A 40 years old man (name withheld) and resident of Hardu Panzoo Beerwah in district Budgam consumed some poisonous substance at his home and died on spot.
Police have started investigation under section 174 CrPC in this regard.
Meanwhile, two persons died and nine others were injured in different road accidents across the valley.
In Islamabad, a Load Carrier bearing registration number JK03C-5822 hit and injured a lady Zona Begum wife of Ghulam Qadir Dar resident of Batengoo Islamabad near Petrol Pump Khanabal. The injured lady was shifted to District Hospital Islamabad for treatment where she succumbed to her injures.
Meanwhile, a Magic Load carrier bearing registration number JK03D- 2983 hit an Auto bearing registration number Jk03A-9235 at Batengoo, resulting in injuries to Auto Reyaz Ahmad Dar son of Ghulam Qadir resident of Nai Basti Islamabad. The injured was shifted to hospital for treatment.
In Kulgam, a Tavera bearing registration number JK03D-8489 skidded-off the road near Titanic view, Jawahar Tunnel Qazigund, resulting in injuries to 03 passengers. All the injured were shifted to Qazigund Hospital for treatment.
In Sopore, a Mini truck bearing registration number JK01G-2524 skidded-off the road at Amargrah, Tarzoo, resulting in injuries to its driver and two other passengers. All the injured were shifted to the Hospital for treatment.
In Pulwama, a Motorcycle bearing registration umberJK01U- 4932 on way from Pulwama to Pampore skipped-off the road at Kandizal near Pahroo crossing, resulting in on spot death of Sajad Ahmad Bhat son of Ali Mohammad and injuries to 02 pillions Shahid Ahmad Bhat son of Ghulam Mohi-u-din and Mehran Ahmad Malik son of Mushtaq Ahmad all resident of Drangbal Pampore. The injured were shifted to the Hospital for treatment.
In Srinagar, a Truck bearing registration number Jk05-9159 collided with an Alto car bearing registration number Jk01Q-6469 near Padshahibagh Bridge Bypass, Nowgam resulting in injuries to the Alto Car driver Uabaid Rehman resident of Nowgam. The injured was shifted to the Hospital for treatment.
