SRINAGAR: Nearly a week after being injured along with eight other people in an accident here, a man succumbed to his wounds at SKIMS Soura on Friday, officials said.
Identified as Abdul Quyoom Mughal son Mohammad Shafi Mugal, the man from Salamabad remained admitted in the tertiary care hospital for six days and breathed his last this evening, news agency GNS quoted officials as having said.
Block Medical Officer Uri Dr Mohammad Ramzan confirmed Mugal’s death.
On October 29, at least nine persons including Mugal were injured when an Eco vehicle (JK05H 0602) on way to Uri town fell down into Hajipeer Nallah near NS bridge here in Baramulla district.
Soon after the accident locals and police team reached the spot and shifted the injured persons to SDH Uri from where critically injured two persons were shifted to Srinagar for specialized treatment.
