SRINAGAR: A man who sustained grievous injuries after falling from a truck that overturned at the New Bypass in the Lasjan area of Srinagar has succumbed to his injuries at hospital, officials said on Monday.
An official said the accident occurred when the truck overturned on the New Bypass road at Lasjan, causing a person sitting on its roof to fall and sustain critical injuries.
The deceased has been identified as Mohammad Iqbal Bokda, son of Ghulam Mohammad, a resident of Mazmo Qazigund, aged around 50 years.
He was initially shifted to SMHS Hospital, Srinagar, where he was under treatment. However, he succumbed to his injuries on Monday, officials said.
Police have taken cognisance of the incident and further investigation is underway. (JKNS)
