SRINAGAR: A 70-year-old man experienced a severe heart attack in the Sopore area of Baramulla district in north Kashmir shortly after his return from the Hajj pilgrimage. He was immediately transferred to JVC Hospital in Bemina and later moved to SKIMS Soura for advanced medical care.

According to an official, Ghulam Mohammed Gojree from Hygam Sopore suffered a massive cardiac arrest soon after reaching home following his completion of the Hajj pilgrimage.

He was promptly taken to JVC Bemina, where the doctors decided to transfer him to SKIMS Soura.

“There was some confusion regarding my father’s condition at JVC Bemina. However, he was subsequently transferred to SKIMS, where he is currently receiving treatment. His condition is stable,” stated Ghulam Hassan, Gojree’s son.

On Tuesday, the initial group of 630 pilgrims returned to Kashmir after successfully completing the annual Hajj pilgrimage in Saudi Arabia. (KS)
