SRINAGAR: Suspected militants attacked an army convoy near toll post Lower Munda on Srinagar-Jammu highway near Qazigund in South Kashmir Saturday morning. Various soldiers are reported injured.
Local correspondent reports quoted sources say that there have been some injuries in the attack. One of the injured is stated to be critical.
The whole area has been cordoned off following the attack in search of the attackers, sources said. It was not immediately known if there has been a contact between the two sides after the attack. The attack has triggered tensions and a massive traffic jam. The attack took place at a time when the Army Chief and top commanders were in Srinagar.
