Police Saturday produced Masarat Alam Bhat, senior Muslim League leader before a Budgam court that sent him central jail on seven day’s judicial remand.
Muslim League general secretary Abdul Ahad Parra told a local news agency, KNS, that Bhat was produced before the court of additional session’s judge Budgam in a cases registered against him under FIR number 15/2010 under section 153, 120 (B), 113 UL, lodged by police station Humhama.
Expressing serious concern over what he called a deliberate attempt on part of the government to prolong detention of Bhat, Muslim League general secretary said that the government is not in a position to face his party colleague politically.
