The recently released senior Hurriyat (G) leader and chairman Muslim League Masarat Alam has turned down the Pakistan High Commission’s invitation to the Pakistan Day function being observed tomorrow at New Delhi.
“I have received the invitation from the Pakistan High Commission and will, however, not travel to Delhi due to personal engagements and health problems,” Alam said.
Other than him, almost all the Hurriyat leaders have been invited by the Pakistan High Commission to the function.
The Muslim League chairman’s recent release from jail, created a massive uproar across India and even both the Houses of Indian Parliament witnessed noisy scenes.
