Chief Judicial Magistrate Jammu (CJM) Thursday shifted incarcerated Hurriyat (G) leader and Muslim League chief Masrat Alam Bhat to Amphala Jail on judicial custody.

Masrat was shifted to Jammu early August in connection of FIR No 1/2007 registered in city police station Jammu.

A Muslim League spokesperson told Kashmir Life that Masrat was shifted to Amphala jail up to August 18.

“CJM Jammu today shifted Masrat Sahab to Amphala jail on judicial custody up to August 18,” the spokesperson said.

Masrat, the most popular separatist voice after Geelani in Hurriyat (G) was arrested on October 18, 2010. Since then Masrat has faced Public Safety act (PSA) six consecutive times in different jails.
