Police has reportedly re-arrested Masarat Alam Bhat the Huriyat (G) leader and Muslim League chairman after he was released from the central jail on bail Thursday.

According to the reports received by a local news agency, KNS, Bhat who was released by the concerned authorities on bail was re-arrested by the Nigeen Police station outside the Central jail Srinagar.

The First Information Report (FIR) no 60/2013 was registered against Bhat by the police and was booked under section 147,148,336,436,153(a) of Ranbir Penal Code (RPC) and under 13 ULA.

After appearing in the Srinagar lower court today, Bhat was sent to four days police custody by the court.

Talking to  KNS, General Secretary of Muslim League Abdul Ahad Parra while condemning the re-arrest of Masarat Alam Bhat accused that the state authorities are detaining Bhat on ‘baseless’ cases and that the arrests would not deter Baht to carry forward the struggle to its logical conclusion.
