Massive fault in Noorkah power receiving station in Uri leaves 12 villages without electricity

At least 12 villages in border town of Uri are without electricity since Sunday afternoon.

Reports reaching here said that Noorkah power receiving station with a capacity of a 6.3 MVA has encountered a massive fault.

They said the receiving station supplies electricity to a vast area including Bijhama and Bugama feeders.

The fault in the receiving station has left all the villages dependent on the receiving station without electricity.

Meanwhile SDM Showkat Rather has reached the spot.

He directed the concerned to immediately repair the transformer of the receiving station.
