SMVDSB CEO Anshul Garg said the initiative reflects the Board’s commitment to environmental protection.

The Board has partnered with the Central Government Pensioners Welfare Association (CGPWA), Jammu, to promote sustainable practices.

With the onset of the monsoon, the Board and CGPWA have resumed plant sales at the ‘Vaishnavi Vatika’ counter at Vaishnavi Dham, Jammu, offering 28 native plant species grown at the Board’s high-tech nursery in Kunia, Panthal near Katra.

These indigenous plants are well-suited to the local environment and available for public purchase to support conservation.

The Shrine Board’s broader eco-initiatives, include waste and water management, solar power use, and afforestation.
