Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has strongly condemned the killing of Zahoor Ahmad, a policeman, at Redwani in Kulgam district, on Saturday.

In a statement, the party president, Mehbooba Mufti said violence in any form is unacceptable, and there is no place for innocent killings in a civilised society.

Expressing solidarity with the bereaved family, she prayed for the everlasting peace of the departed soul.

Meanwhile, Bharatiya Janata Party has condemned the killing of a policeman Zahoor Ahmad Dar, who was fired upon by gunmen at his residence Redwani in south Kashmir’s Kulgam district.

The BJP spokesperson Khalid Jehangir expressed sympathies with the bereaved family and prayed for peace to the departed soul.

“The senseless violence across Jammu and Kashmir has claimed thousands of lives till date but nothing has been achieved so far. Violence and guns have no place in civilized society,” Jehangir said in a statement.

Pertinently, the deceased policeman Zahoor Ahmad Dar was posted as a PSO to MLA-elect of Homeshalibugh constituency in Kulgam.
