SRINAGAR: Former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister and Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) President Mehbooba Mufti on Thursday demanded immediate release of Kashmiri students arrested in Agra for allegedly posting a WhatsApp status praising Pakistan players after victory against India in a T20 World Cup cricket match.
Taking to social networking site Twitter, Mehbooba wrote: “Crackdown on Kashmiri students both within J&K & outside is reprehensible. Situation in J&K after two years of suppression should’ve been an eye opener for GOI & lead to course correction.BJPs pseudo patriotism disregards the idea of India. Release these students immediately.”
