The injured youth was identified as Tawseef Ahmad, 20, son of Ghulam Ahmad a resident of Achgoaza Pulwama who was allegedly beaten by the army at 44 RR Camp Shadimarg in Pulwama.

Mehbooba while talking to reporters said, “if this is the condition of someone whose brother is working with the army and whose father has already been killed by militants, what can happen to others.”

“I’ve heard about Major Shukla’s bravery, but it is not bravery when you call children at your camp and beat them ruthlessly,” said Mehbooba.

“He was asked to hang the gun around the neck, otherwise, I will give you my gun, and kill you in an encounter,” she said.

Mehbooba demands investigation and actions from the governor and army top brass.

Mehbooba said Kashmir issue is a political issue and it cannot be resolved through force. “This crucial issue can be resolved only through political means,” she said while talking to the reporters at SMHS.
