Srinagar: Incumbent Langate Lawmaker Er Rasheed has called Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti a hypocrite for congratulating BJP over its win in Uttar Pradesh elections.
In a statement issued here, Rasheed said, “PDP has been calling the coalition with BJP as compulsion due to the mandate given.”
But, Rasheed said, “Mehbooba should answer as to why she forgot the same argument and mantra, when BJP didn’t give ticket to even a single muslim candidate in UP, who form 24% of the UP population,” Rasheed asked?
He alleged Mehbooba Mufti of “facilitating Modi’s disastrous agenda” and “misleading the world by claiming themselves as so called Muslim proxies of BJP.”
Rasheed alleged BJP of highhandedness saying that “during Holi celebrations in Jammu goons of Sang Parivar threw water balloons and colours over Muslim and Sikh youth which has created a sense of fear among the minorities in Jammu.”
“Mehbooba Mufti must stop these radical goons rather than praising Modi and becoming his mouth piece,” he said
