Mufti said that governor’s decisions are creating an atmosphere of insecurity among people in Kashmir. “All the decisions should have been made after the formation of new government but it seems decisions are influenced by some agenda. I hope Governor is not part of that,” she said.

Mufti also criticized Governor’s recent decision of making J&K bank a Public Sector Undertaking (PSU).

While reacting to Governor’s decision to repeal the Jammu and Kashmir State Lands (Vesting of Ownership to the Occupants) Act, 2001 known as Roshni act, she said that this decision only impacts Bakerwals and tribal communities while it benefits businessmen. Mufti threatened a peaceful agitation if Chenab valley and Pir Panjal are not given divisional status. “Ladakh already has an autonomous hill council, while Chenab valley and Pir Panjal has none,” she added.

She appealed all the parties including NC and Awami Ittehad Party to support their decision of going for peaceful agitation if Governor did not consider their demands.
