Former tech savvy Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Friday said that her political opponent, Mehbooba Mufti, “needs time to grieve”.
Mufti Mohammad Sayeed, late CM of J&K and father of Mehbooba, died on Thursday morning in AIIMS at New Delhi.
In a tweet, Omar accused right wing Hindu Nationalist Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) of forcing “uncertainty on the state” while underlining that Mehbooba Mufti needs time to grieve at her father’s demise.
“Why is BJP forcing this uncertainty on the state? Mehbooba, understandably, needs time to grieve but these guys?,” Omar’s tweet said.
He was reacting to the statement of BJP’s J&K head, Sat Sharma. “We have decided that we will discuss this in four days,” Sat Sharma of the BJP had said on Mehbooba Mufti’s swearing in as J&K CM.
