An official said that upper reaches, including Gurez, Gulmarg, Sonamarg, Karnah, and the Zojila Pass, experienced fresh snowfall.

He said that several roads, including the Bandipora-Gurez and Srinagar-Ladakh roads, were blocked due to the accumulation of snow.

The official added that snow clearance operations were initiated this morning to restore traffic and ensure the roads are cleared.

According to the meteorological department, the weather is expected to remain dry from December 4 to 7. “On December 8, generally cloudy conditions with light rain and snow in higher reaches at isolated places are expected. From December 9 to 12, dry weather is anticipated once again,” the department said. —(KNO)
