SRINAGAR: The Meteorological Centre Srinagar has predicted a spell of cloudy weather with intermittent rain and snowfall across Jammu and Kashmir over the coming days.

Director MET Centre Srinagar Mukhtar Ahmad told Kashmir Life that from March 28 to 30, skies will remain generally cloudy, with light to moderate rain in the plains and snowfall over higher reaches at most places, mainly towards evening.
He added that March 31 will likely see cloudy conditions with brief spells at scattered locations, while from April 1 to 2, the weather will remain partly to generally cloudy with isolated light rain. Similar light precipitation is expected at scattered places between April 3 and 4, followed by partly cloudy conditions with isolated rain or snow from April 5 to 7.
The MET Department has issued an advisory warning of moderate snowfall over higher reaches of north and central Kashmir, along with thunder and gusty winds between the night of March 28 and 30. There is also a risk of landslides at vulnerable spots.
Farmers have been advised to suspend agricultural operations on March 29 and 30, while travellers have been urged to follow traffic advisories.
Meanwhile, avalanche warning with medium danger has been issued for areas above 2,400 metres in Bandipora and Ganderbal districts.
